| The final RTB release focuses entirely on new electronic sounds from the Swedish underground. Initiated in 2011 and curated with a strict hand, the intention with Sverige was to showcase what's currently going on here and at the same time avoiding safe names and too established acts. All focus set on the new breed. From Malmö, we have Arkhe and Amph. From Göteborg, there is Feberdröm, Arv & Miljö, Implicit Ruin and Blodvite. Stockholm is represented with Händer Som Vårdar and Landvarelser. The result is a 40-minute compilation with a huge variety, from the subtle death rumblings from Arkhe via the beautiful dronebliss of Amph, to the industrial and loop-infected destruction from Blodvite closing everything off. A great glimpse of the current stirrings up in the cold north.

| Second album from Belgian synthscaper Hans Dens, following up the highly acclaimed Future Life LP from 2010 (Aguirre Records). While being rooted in the Belgian underground alongside acts like Orphan Fairytale and Dolphins Into The Future, Innercity brings a more dystopic and bleak approach to the table with it's monotonous and rhythmic set of sounds. | Originally released as a tape in 100 copies on Klorofyll Kassetter in 2008 which sold out immediately, Bristning finally gets the vinyl treatment. For this reissue, Dan Johansson revisited the original masters recorded at Utmarken in 2008 and elaborated it into an extended version, now clocking in on 33 minutes. Bristning shows the progression between the loop-based vocal manipulations on Kassettmusik (iDEAL) and the Vidöppna Sår LP (Pan), weaving together elements from both. | First vinyl fullength from Mattias Gustafsson aka Altar Of Flies. Since the start in 2006, this prolific artist from Mjölby, Sweden, has done releases on Cipher, Husk, Hästen & Korset, Nil By Mouth and 905, just to name a few. Förruttnelsen is the first new release on RTB since the split LP with Sewer Election which was released early 2008. More organic and mostly recorded live to tape, Förruttnelsen shows a side of Altar Of Flies more reminiscent to the sounds of his live shows. This is more minimalistic in it's approach, weaving together tapeloops, field recordings, junk abuse and raw disciplined electronics creating an claustrophobic and bleak soundscape. Everything slowly builds up towards the abrasive 14 minute long title track closer, making this an monumental journey in all it's gloomy glory. | Born in New Zealand and a true veteran of the experimental scene, Peter Wright has spent more than a decade developing his mesmerizing guitar work close to perfection. As fellow New Zealand underground acts like Antony Milton and Birchville Cat Motel, Peter Wright has been very prolific during the years and released a huge amount of releases around the world. RTB are very proud to present Bright Failing Star, the first vinyl-only album from Peter Wright! Perhaps a bit more slow-paced and somber than other of his recordings, the sounds on Bright Failing Star are calm while yet being powerful. With the beautiful open air dynamics and the somewhat colder feeling, the subtle tones of Bright Failing Star are very autumn-like. Coldness with a warm undertone, darkness with some hints of light. Organic drone music at it’s best. Assembled with recordings from England, USA and Norway. | Gothenburg 2009. There's something in the air and something is stirring in the eclectic underground. Brewing magic, movements in every corner and truly exciting times. This is a small document of the first year of Utmarken with four acts contributing one track each.
Street Drinkers, the soloproject of Viktor from Ättestupa, uses layers of synths and vocals to create minimal and dreamy music reminiscent of Wet Hair and Peaking Lights, but with a unique Swedish touch. After the feedback-mayhem on the Gothenburg Blood Cult Tape, Källarbarnen is now back with a more subtle and somewhat mellow track, here using synths, drums, bass and vocals. All lights are out and everything is falling apart. White is Dan from Ättestupa/Sewer Election, and the project should be known from the tapes on Harsh Head Rituals and Segerhuva. Hitting it hard with distorted synthbuzz and vocals, it ends up like the bastard child of Suicide via filth, crime and abuse. Ättestupa ends everything with the best song they have done, a haunting and intense piece called Änglamakerskan. Freezing winds evokes the mean spirit of an long forgotten era. Pocahaunted has been real busy the last year: opening for Sonic Youth, several collaborations with Robedoor, tape/cd-r releases on Not Not Fun, Arbor, Fuck It Tapes etc, split LPs with Christina Carter and Mythical Beast... and yeah, we could go on forever (and mention the 2 new vinyl albums on Arbor and Woodsist that are being released at the same time as this 7"...)! Here Amanda and Bethany gives us Warpaint, another dubbed-out and almost heavy lo-fi anthem with that always so special and unique Pocahaunted vibe. The discography of Orphan Fairytale, the solo moniker of Eva Van Deuren, mainly consists of very limited tape and cd-r releases so far, with the only previous vinyl output being an amazing collaboration LP with Mudboy. Live actions includes a performance at No Fun Fest 2007 and a set that took place inside of a container. Here she continues with her haunting and always captivating and melodic keyboard hymns. Made By Mermaids is a trip in the ocean gone bad. Limited to 500 copies. Full colour labels, yellow big-hole sleeves with design and screenprint (in glowing red) by RTB-sidekick HLG.

| A beautiful exploration in ambience and darkness by Xiu Xiu and Grouper. This 5-song collaboration was created out of a shared childhood trauma involving some horror film from the 70's. | Hailing from Göteborg, Sweden, The Skull Defekts is a new music collective featuring core members Joachim Nordwall (Alvars Orkester, ex-Kid Commando, runner of Ideal Recordings), Henrik Rylander (ex-Union Carbide Productions) and people like Jean-Louis Huhta (ex-Anti Cimex, Cortex...) and Daniel Fagerström (Chronic Heist, ex-Trapdoor Fucking Exit, 8 Days Of Nothing). The band has been doing live collaborations with Damo Suzuki (Can) and Lasse Marhaug, just to name a few. On Skkull the band is stripped down to the trio of Nordwall/Rylander/Huhta and what we get is an all electronic album containing 4 long songs. Compared to their earlier releases this one takes a more minimalistic and monotonous approach but still manages to be heavy as hell! Expect total Scandinavian coldness.
