IN AETERNAM VALE "Gnd Lift"
Minimal Wave is pleased to present a fourth 12” single from our French favorites, In Aeternam Vale. This one features another monumental 14 minute techno masterpiece called Gnd Lift. On the flip side are two pure wave tracks, J’ai Mangé des Nerfs and Animals Don’t Mind. Gnd Lift is a slow building hazy hypnotic track with heavy atmosphere, fitting perfectly on a smoke filled dance floor. J’ai Mangé des Nerfs is a classic vocal driven synthpop track with the grit characteristic of In Aeternam Vale’s 80’s cassette works. The 12” closes with Animals Don’t Mind, a slow and deeply emotive smoldering darkwave track that speaks directly to the heart, this one feels the most personal thus far. The Gnd Lift 12” shows us all sides of In Aeternam Vale, his strengths lying in his ability to create both techno masterpieces and classic underground wave tracks, moving seamlessly from one to the next. None of these tracks have ever been released before although In Aeternam Vale has been performing the..
FRANCE "Grand Tour"
Not the same FRANCE as the one released on BIMBO TOWER! It all started as a joke at a party. How would it be to create a French-singing, French-themed band called France? Music-wise, it would have to be 80s of course. With Telex and Kraftwerk as ultimate references... Well, there will always be people who can’t take a joke. People like Henning Specht (Fiendish Fib, Hypnolove), François Remigi (Abberline) and Pierre Gastou (Fiendish Fib). Together, they decided to turn this unlikely project into solid reality. The result is a unique mixture of pulsating Italo Disco, revisited French Touch and synth-driven Chanson, where romanticism and dry wit collide. A first tour de France, which is also a tour de force, with four mind-blowing dance-floor killers. Lim Ed 500x -Treue Um Treue..
FUTURISK "Lonely Streets Remixes"
CITI004 Minimal Wave takes an old sound in a new direction entirely, giving Futurisk’s classic ‘Lonely Streets’ a modern shake-up through a remix package from current artists – out now on MW’s sublabel reserved for new music and old favorites, Cititrax.Futurisk, an electro-punk group made legendary by their anarchistic records and explosive live shows, mysteriously disappeared from a thriving scene in 1984. With an electric and dynamically layered sound (created with pre-midi instrumentation), the South Florida group left an indelible mark in the crates of disco and minimalist collectors dotted around corners of the world..... -MW..

INHALT "Vehicle EP"
Dark Entries is proud to release the debut EP “Vehicle” from San Francisco based synth trio INHALT. Consisting of European and East Coast natives– Matia Simovich, Bryan Gibbs, and Philip Winiger– INHALT’s core operative strategy is of sonic fidelity and integrity rather than nostalgia. Having experienced the downfall of the music industry and professional studio system while working at Asphodel Records/Recombinant Media Labs, INHALT needed to create their own creative working environment. Thus, they designed and built The Bunker Studio, developed around an integrative ideology and employing the best of vintage and modern technologies and techniques. Here, they’ve honed their sound–sometimes referential to the raw electronics of Kraftwerk or the drive of Moroder disco–but ultimately their own interpretation of the border between the past and the present. What started with the split 12″ for Andy Blakes’ World Unknown imprint now continues with the “Vehicle” EP, where the brutality of the..

FALL OF SAIGON "Untitled EP"
Dark Entires Records is honored to re-issue the debut EP by FALL OF SAIGON. The band was born in 1981 when Florence Berthon (Vocals), Pascal Comelade (Organ, Synthesizer) and Thierry Den (Guitar, Vocals) met at a concert in Montpellier, France. They chose to the name the project FALL OF SAIGON after a song by UK post-punk act This Heat. They self-released their debut EP in 1983 citing Nico & The Velvet Underground, Suicide and James Joyce as influences. At the time the band formed, Pascal Comelade was an accomplished musician with instrumental sketches composed for the trio. The 6 songs on the EP were recorded in two stages. “She Leaves Me All Alone” and “On The Beach At Fontana” were sung by Thierry and recorded at Pascal’s home on a Revox 2-track in one shot. The four songs sung by Florence – “Visions”, “Blue Eyes”, “So Long” and “The Swimmer” – were recorded and mixed at the Montpellier Languedoc Video Animation Center by Jean Alain Sidi on two ReVox A77 reel to reels and a..
COMPILATION "The Perils Of Paradise"
The music on this record is based on a minimal noise sculpture by Dutch industrial project . Next to that it features revisions of the original sound structure by this artist from The Low Countries. These revisions are created by German minimal electronics act Echo West, French nihiltronix producers ICK and, last but not least the ritual industrial musicians from Terroritmo. In short, expect a record with a broad range of international industrial sounds. Lim ed 238x..
HEARTS OF DARKNESSES "Shit Fan Punx Get Busted"
Catchy stuff on this one. Short, sweet and most definitely a keeper. It’s all laptop wizardry, but sounds somewhat like good old dance-rock knocked out on a bunch of different instruments (but made in a junkyard by post-spazz kids). Or you know, LCD Soundsystem if he’d still be young and hung out with New York noiseniks Sightings. I mean, weirder things have happened. For instance, that dude that used to be in Icarus Line, he played with Nine Inch Nails for a bit. Oh, and this’ll remind you of them too, even if it’s more of a Japanther meets Bark Bark Bark take on that whole industrial thing. Like naïve and even kind of cute in a way. -dLTD..

GRAHAM PHILIP D´ANCEY "Sacred Heart"
The 11th release on Minimal Wave, is Graham Philip D´Ancey's The Sacred Project EP. A 12" pressed on white 160 gram vinyl, the EP is presented in a matte white cover with a drawing called the Eyes of The Universe printed on it. The project consists of 4 tracks, all of which have been remastered and sound incredibly warm and full. The first track was originally released in 1981 as single entitled Sacred Heart and is highly sought after today. Aside from that single, Graham released several LPs in the early 80s. Alluma, which is a pure analogue synth soundtrack style LP and Chinese, a library LP with some unusual instrumentation plus a couple of killer electronic cuts. Very interesting and wordly stuff. Limited to 500 numbered copies-. -Minimal Wave..

TOBIAS BERNSTRUP "1984"
Swedish visual and performance artist Tobias Bernstrup looks like a 21st century Klaus Nomi. His visual work is presented at exhibitions world wide. Next to that he is a gifted musician. He is able to create extremely catchy synth /elektro pop tunes while never crossing the line of delivering overproduced tracks. The sound of his tracks is like a hybrid of the arty side of Klaus Nomi with the pop side of Pet Shop Boys. This 4 track EP is built around the theme (and title track) "1984". But this theme is extended and made up to date. The Orwellian theme of total state control in which civilians are constantly watched and reality is manipulated is probably more actual as ever. This central theme is given a more individual and neo-romantic touch with the track "Light Years Apart", while the hostile state aspect is getting more of a sci-fi interpretation in "Enemies Of The Earth". Closing track "Data Love" combines the Orwellian sentiments of loneliness with the more contemporary vision o..

ISINGLASS "One 3 Four"
ISINGLASS was Jérémie Arrobas and Michael Gabriel, from Montréal, Canada. Both were members of MEN WITHOUT HATS in the early 80's (with Jérémie being a longer member and composer - watch video of his composition "Nationale 7 (Freeways)" with him performing on Pearl Syncussion SY-1 here), before going on to form ISINGLASS in 1982. Unfortunately they never got any records out, but fame sometimes comes late and now with Anna Logue Records, hehe. Equipped with a nice small setup of Roland SH-2/TR-808, Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, Korg Lambda ES-50/Poly-61 and guests on drums and guitars (Pierre Lacoste, Marc Perusse, Hendrica Verheyden, Mike Lynes) they recorded a couple of songs from which four tracks have been chosen for inclusion to this 12"EP. -Anna..
PASSION POLKA "Obsessions EP"
PASSION POLKA was an electronic pop outfit founded by Steve Cottier (also in Scope, Xionics, Kinetics, Peep Show) and Keith Leary (also in Peep Show) in Liverpool, UK, presenting here four classic analogue electropop tracks from 1982/1983 in the vein of Camera Obscura, OMD or Oppenheimer Analysis, featuring the Roland TR-808 drum machine and a little armada of the usual synthesiser suspects made by ARP, Korg, Roland and Yamaha. They only released the impossible-to-find 'Obsession'/'Juliet' 7" single back in 1982 on their own Kinetic Rekords label. These tracks are now available again on Anna Logue Records' first 12" ever, remastered by Marc Senasac and with an addition of two beautiful and and previously unreleased 1983 tracks 'Lying next to You' and 'Fighting Alone' which feature Siobhan Maher (River City People, Kindred Spirit) on backing vocals. A must-have for all the aficionados of early 80's romantic electropop. -Anna..
